How we handle your information

We collect what we need to teach you, take your payments and keep our course material from being shared. We don't sell your information, and we don't show you ads.

Who we are

AMC Booster runs courses for doctors preparing for the Australian Medical Council exams. We teach from Dhaka, Bangladesh. In this policy, "we" means AMC Booster and "you" means anyone who visits the site or has an account on it.

What we collect

• Your account. Your name, email address, phone number and password. We store the password scrambled, so nobody can read it, us included. If you sign in with Google, we get your name and email address from Google and you have no password with us.
• Your background, if you add it. A profile photo, your city, medical school, graduation year, BMDC registration number, the exam you are preparing for and its date, and your AMC candidate number. All of these are optional.
• Your registrations and payments. The courses you are enrolled in, the price agreed with you, any installment plan, and the payments you make. You pay us directly in cash, by bKash or by bank transfer, and we record each payment by hand. We never see or store card details.
• Your learning. Which lessons you have started and completed, how far into each video you are, your quiz answers and scores, the assignments you hand in and the feedback on them, and the comments you post on lessons.
• Technical data. The cookies that keep you signed in, and the standard server logs of requests to the site, such as IP address, browser and time. To keep each account to its own devices, we also record the devices you sign in from: the kind of device, its browser and operating system, and its IP address.

How we use it

• To run your account and give you the courses you are registered for.
• To keep track of what you owe, what you have paid and when your access ends.
• To follow your progress, review your assignments and help you where you are falling behind.
• To contact you about your courses, payments and account.
• To protect our course material. Every page of lesson notes you open is stamped with your name, phone number and email address, so notes that are shared outside the course can be traced back.
• To keep the site secure and working.

Who else sees it

Our teachers and admins can see your account, registrations, payments and progress. Other students can see your name next to comments you post on a lesson. Outside AMC Booster, we use a few services to run the site, and they handle data only to provide that service:

• Bunny.net stores and streams our lesson videos and files.
• Cloudflare sits in front of the site to keep it fast and secure.
• Google, only if you choose to sign in with Google.

We don't sell your information or share it for advertising. We will share it if the law requires us to.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and learning history while your account is open, so you can come back to a course and we can see how a batch went. Payment records are kept as long as we need them for our accounts, even after an account is closed.

Your choices

• You can see and change your details, photo and background at any time in your account settings.
• You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, or to correct it. Contact us at the address below.
• You can ask us to close your account. Accounts can't be deleted from the site yet, so email us and we'll close it and delete what we don't need to keep.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information, we'll update this page and the date at the top. If the change is significant, we'll tell registered students directly.
